Travel Clinic

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required. There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below

Visit Fitfortravel to find out more information about countries and vaccinations required.

We require a minimum of 8 weeks notice prior to your departure date  in order to process your travel form, order the vaccines required and find you a convenient appointment to have the vaccines. If you submit the form with less than 8 weeks before travel, we may not be able to accommodate you, as the forms are only checked weekly. In this instance, you may need to attend a private travel clinic. Please put as much information on the travel risk assessment form as you can. The Nurse will then assess your plans and provide you with information about how to stay safe and healthy on your trip. If you require any vaccinations, this appointment needs to be at least 2-3 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

Some travel vaccines are not included in the services provided by the NHS. If you require any of these vaccines, the travel nurse will inform you and direct you to a private travel clinic. There will be a charge for these vaccines.
